Bio: Morvan’s family has had a long rivalry with Kirsty’s, as far back as the Arthurian era. What became the Makay line encountered the first obstacles there even before Marsali’s descendants became part of it. This is roughly where the Makay line broke from the other sons of Kay, two of the descendants being more interested in trade and fishing. By shrewd deals, sorcery, backstabbing and the occasional use of demonic magic the Lilitu family has managed to keep a favored spot among the elite.
There are selkies that live near the Lilitu holdings that often try to take back their former range and the caves that they hold sacred. These same caves have been used by the Lilitu family in smuggling ventures as well as keeping safe particular valuables. On the walls in his family home hang skins taken from some of Kirsty’s family as well as ‘keepsakes’ from ships that they have sent demons to sink.
For reasons lost to time the Lilitu family has been particularly keen on trying to eradicate the selkie/Makay line and/or expose them for what they are – “dirty heathen half-blood non-human entities that dance around nude in the moonlight on shores and aboard ships seducing who knows what.” Morvan is especially jealous that Kirsty’s power comes from within while he has had to learn to subjugate other powers and take them in to work magic.
He is not all bad though. He can be very thoughtful to those that he considers friend, although it is very hard to get past his exterior or to gain his interest other than as a plaything to torture. He is particularly fond of his eagle owl and the family pet snake. Morvan is an only child much doted on by his parents.
